After meeting Ken and Laura Broadwater years ago at a home show when we first starting talking about building, we knew there was no one else we’d trust to do the job right. Seven years later when we were finally ready to build, it was a joy to begin the process with Ken, who had become a friend over our years of emailing back and forth, giving updates, etc. Ken made the process clear, walked us through every step, adapted house plans, answered every question and we had MANY, and was patient with us. Every subcontractor to whom we were connected was helpful, kind, trustworthy, and did solid work. This is our second home we have built with Ken Broadwater Homes and we love this one even more than we loved the first one. Ken is a customer oriented builder who truly does “listen” to his clients. He aligns himself with great subcontractors who are courteous and pleasant to work with. If something does need to be “tweaked” he makes it happen in a timely matter to meet his customers wants and needs. We really enjoy working with Ken because we take pride in our home and so does he.

I can not say enough good things about Ken Broadwater Homes!! They were an answer to my prayers! My husband and I wanted to build a home, and we heard nothing but horror stories from other people who had been through the process before. Neither one of us had ever done this or even had ever gotten a loan from the bank before, It was a very scary and overwhelming thought! But when I met the Broadwaters, they made us so comfortable and I knew we were in good hands. They helped us through every step of the way, they figured out how to give us what we wanted while staying in our budget. My husband was really impressed with the craftsmanship of our home. He is in construction, so he was looking out. They really made this a wonderful experience for us and gave us our dream home! Residing in Newport News and wanting to build our home in the Shenandoah Valley could have been very stressful. We are thankful that Ken decided to build for us outside of his normal boundaries to build. After meeting with Ken and discussing our options, we knew that Ken would have complete oversight of this project. Ken was very helpful in the planning stage and the building process. Everyone we went to, to pick out custom items were very pleasant and helpful. He kept us informed along the way. After being in our home for eleven months, Ken was very prompt in fixing a few items. His team and their craftsmanship was excellent. We highly recommend Ken to build for you.
As we are about to celebrate our first anniversary in our new home we are happy that we chose Ken Broadwater as our builder. It is a high quality home, strong enough to survive an earthquake when the foundation was set and a severe wind storm shortly after we moved in. This is our “dream” retirement home. Working with Ken,we saw our wishes materialize. We are enjoying the special features we wanted and the additional ones suggested by Ken. He also took care of the small problems that can develop in any new home. We would highly recommend Ken Broadwater Homes.
